Our camping site (I hav no idea why there is a black line in the middle of this pic)
On 7 August 2009, I had attended a program for 3 days 2 night called "Pimpin Siswa" which organized by USM, mainly held for the 1st year APEX's student. I was arranged by the system to complete the program at Kem Puncak Bris, Sik, Kedah. Here are some of activities that I involved :
7 August
- Taking bus at Padang Kawad heading to Puncak Bris. The journey takes 2 hours.
- Arrived there, listening to some briefing.
- Set up our camp
- Appointment of leaders and representatives for the camping.
- Santapan rohani
- Games ( chicken dance, 'blind orchestra", 'guess who" )
- Sleep - take turn to be watcher
8 August
- Morning exercise (warm up, poco-poco, and chicken dance)
- Games (most of the teamwork games)
- Prepare our own mean ( materials, ingredients, grain, and alive chicken are given )
- 'jungle trekking' and 'river crossing'
- Santapan Rohani
- 2am - jungle trekking on an isolated island.
9 August
- morning warm up
- tidy up the camping site and our camp
- ready to go home
Actually, not all the events were go on as planned. Most of the days are raining and it added difficulties for us and cause the lagging in completing some activities. The soil also become soft, muddy, and smelly.
All seems tired and fatigue, because lack of sleep. Luckily, the camp site is quite far from school. I've taken the chance to sleep in the bus, whole way back to USM.
OVERALL, I'VE LEARN A COUPLE THINGS FROM THIS PROGRAM. BUT WHAT I APPRECIATE MOST, IS MEETING SOME NEW FRIENDS THAT SEEM FAR BUT ACTUALLY JUST NEAR TO YOU.
