MERDEKA!
On 30 August 2009, at 5pm, we are prepared to celebrate Merdeka at Penang Times Square. There are 2 USM bus that take us to the site. But icon team was go first by mr.Wan with van. I'm very jealous with them because they can experience sitting in the van drove by mr.Wan.
Well, we arrived at Penang Times Square around 6pm. I was impressed by the organizing team, which mostly are younger than me, but the manage to run such a big event. Then, all of us were busy helping each other to tight the balloons. I take the chance to knowing other student that I'm not so close to.
It is not easy to tight the balloons with metal ring, especially the white balloons that are extra hard. Sometime, we accidentally release the balloons.
That day, I've join the quiz event, and I've won a DJ's CD. The question is "What is our National Car Company(PROTON) logo?" And the answer is Tiger. Hahaks.. I was trying to join the quiz to get the grand prize, but I miss it because too busy helping to success the event.
I am very glad for having the opportunity to join the event. Almost every year I celebrate Merdeka because last time at secondary school I stay at hostel. But this time is quite special, with involving youth, I hope all of us will get the true meaning of 1 Malaysia through experience, not only by theory.
I dream of 1 day, all Malaysian does not differentiate each other, because we only have " 1 bangsa iaitu bangsa Malaysia"
